Packing recommendations

  • Shoes & Flip - Flops
  • Sportswear
For our Sunset Yoga sessions and other activities you should be equipped accordingly.
  • Everyday clothes (esp. warmer clothes or cozy hoodie, windbreaker with hood)
The chances of extremely good and warm weather are very good on the Atlantic coast in September. Nevertheless, it can cool down strongly at night. Accordingly, you should also have warmer clothes with you.
  • Hoodie of your Uni & ASC Shirts/ Hoodies (if available)
There are many different universities represented at the camp. Bring a hoodie from your university if you have one.
  • Beach towel and towel for shower
  • Sunscreen & Lip Balm
It is important to protect your skin from unpleasant UV rays in and out of the water. Your waterproof sunscreen should have a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 30+, better 50+. You should also pack a lip balm with SPF and zinc cream for your nose and cheekbones.
  • Shower gel, toilet bag etc
Additionally for our ladies: Don't forget hair ties. Loose hair while paddling can be annoying under certain circumstances.
  • Cap and sunglasses
If you're in the water for a long time, that also means you're in the sun for a long time. So, as soon as you get out of the water and change your clothes, you should put on a cap and sunglasses to protect yourself from sunburn, heat and dehydration.
  • Beach bag or backpack
A large beach bag or a practical backpack with many compartments is a must. You will notice this at the latest when you trudge across the beach with surfboard, wetsuit, beach towel, sunscreen, cell phone, sunglasses and water bottle. We recommend a beach bag or a backpack (with a compartment for wet things), compartments for cell phone, wallet and keys and other storage compartments for book and water bottle (we recommend you to take a refillable water bottle).
  • Passport (at least ID)
  • Cards, cash and insurance
Some people always travel on vacation with two credit cards, just in case one of them malfunctions. For others, the EC card is the first choice when traveling abroad. We recommend a credit card, a debit card and some cash, so you are prepared for any eventuality. Insurance is the responsibility of the participant. If you have a driver's license, you should take it with you.
  • Essentials for the Travel
We recommend earplugs, and a neck rest or pillow.
  • Medication
In the camp itself we have an emergency pharmacy. If you are allergic, we ask you to bring appropriate medication for you.
  • Multimedia & Electronic Devices
In the camp itself, we have photographers and enough cameras at the start, so that of you certainly some cool pictures and enough memories are captured. If you want to bring your own camera, you are of course welcome to do so. You are welcome to bring other electronic devices. Wifi is available for free.

Emergency information

In case of emergency ALWAYS -> 112

From your cell phone, please do not forget the area code for Spain, i.e. 0034 + emergency number. If you can't express yourself in Spanish, English is the second choice.

Always follow the following scheme when raising the alarm

  • Who: Your personal data (short)
  • Where: In case of emergency at the accommodation "Camping Valdovino", in case of emergency at the beach "Praia Da Razo".
  • What: Exact description of what happened and what you need.
  • Do not hang up the phone under any circumstances! Your interlocutor is trained for such situations and can give you precise instructions on what to do.
  • If possible, someone from the OC will inform in case of emergency.

Medical care

In the camp itself we have a portable pharmacy on the beach as well as in the accommodation with a basic medical supply included. The pharmacy for the beach also contains a device that can be used against insect bites and Peterfish bites.
